Our Surgical Care — What That Means for Your Pet
Surgery can feel like a big day — and it's normal to feel nervous about it.
Our job is to protect your pet's comfort and safety from start to finish.
We offer a range of procedures including:
- spays & neuters
- mass removals
- and more advanced soft tissue surgeries
Every patient is treated like an individual.
We do not use a "one size fits all" anesthesia plan — we tailor medications and monitoring to your pet's age, breed, health status, and needs.
CO₂ laser — a gentle approach
We use a CO₂ surgical laser instead of a traditional scalpel.
This allows us to perform the incision using a focused beam of light — which means:
- less bleeding
- less swelling
- less post-op discomfort
- and typically, a smoother recovery.
How we monitor your pet during anesthesia
Your pet is never unattended.
Throughout anesthesia we track:
- heart rate
- ECG (heart rhythm)
- breathing rate
- capnography (how well CO₂ is being exhaled)
- pulse oximetry (oxygen levels)
- blood pressure
- body temperature
These are the same standards used in human operating rooms.
Your pet also receives IV fluids to support blood pressure, maintain hydration, and help the body clear anesthetic medications smoothly.
What this means for you
All of this is in place for one purpose —
to make their procedure as safe, gentle, and comfortable as possible.
We know your pet is family.
We take that responsibility seriously.
If you ever have questions about your pet's surgery — before, during, or after — we will walk you through each step, so you never feel alone in the process.
Collaboration with specialists
For orthopedics and certain advanced or complicated cases, we may recommend a consultation with a board-certified surgeon.
This partnership ensures your pet receives the best expertise available — right here in coordination with your primary veterinarian.
